A Royal Valentine

This card turned out super cute and girly. The crown cut came from the Potpourri Basket cart. I drew the heart, cut it out, and then mounted it onto the crown. As you can see I got a bit carried away with the gems and pearls, but it is a crown and should be all bling-ed out. LOL! The pearls around the crown are supposed to be a pearl necklace.

The paper I used for the crown has a shimmery sheen to it, and the pink base is super sparkly! I used the Friskars Romantique corner punch on the base and on the inside, as well. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp, that I trimmed up.

On the inside of the card, I used another Studio G stamp for the sentiment and another Friskars corner punch.

Overall, I think it turned out super fun and girly, and it didn't take very long to create. :)

The Nutty Valentine Squirrel

I'm super happy with how this card turned out. It is my very first easel card!!! So I'm pretty excited about it. :)

I began with the little squirrel from the Create a Critter cart and pop-dotted it to the base. The little heart she is holding is a glittery brad; I also used one on the inside of the card. Her little bow is actually recycled from my Victoria Secret's perfume bottle.

Once again I used a paper that did not photograph well, but the off-white base is a sheet from the pre-embossed K&Co. Elegance Collection stack. It has a bunch of little flowers embossed on it-super cute. :)

The "Nuts About You" sentiment and the acorns were cut using the Just Because cart. I used red glitter glue for the tops of the little acorns. The sentiment and the acorns are pop-dotted.






The cuts, both on the inside and outside of the card which the sentiments are placed on, were just normal squares and rectangles that I used a pair of Studmark Royal craft scissors for the decorative edges.

The Happy Valentine's Day Sentiment is a Clear Studio G Stamp.

I think it turned out so super cute and I hope you think so too. :)

A Chinese Thank You!

I've had my eye on my Pagoda cartridge for a while now, and finally decided to use it for a Thank You card.

Xie Xie Ni is Chinese for Thank You. I printed the sentiment from my computer and cut it down to the ideal size, and used a round corner punch on it.

I used gold colored brads in the bottom right hand corner to embellish the card a little more.

I cut the bonsai tree from the Pagoda cart. I used a Cuddlebug embossing folder to emboss the shimmery red paper.

I googled Thank you quotes to find a profound and wise sentiment for the inside and found a Chinese Proverb. It says "When eating bamboo sprouts remember the man who planted them." I thought the proverb was quite appropriate for the card and rolled with it.










Then I used the Pagoda cart to cut the bamboo on the inside. I'm pretty happy with the overall turnout. It's "out of the box" for me...

I also decided to enclose a picture of the paper I used as a base for the front of the card, since I knew it wouldn't photograph well. It has a really cool Asian pattern, and is the reason for my choice of colors for the card.

The Birthday Robot

This card is for my nephew's 6th b-day that is in a few months. Angie, my sis, is going to be giving him a robot themed b-day party this year, and I decided to go with a robot for his b-day. I think it turned out to be super cute!

First, I cut the robot using the B is for Boy Cart, and pop-dotted him to the card. I also used googly eyes for the little robot.

If you look closely at the center of the Robot's, you will see that I used a small green brad for his little "meter". I only stuck one of the brad's pokers through his paper body and taped it on the opposite side. The other brad poker I colored black with a Sharpie  permanent marker.

I embossed the green sheet of paper under the robot using a Cuddlebug embossing folder. The sentiment was a stamp. I cut the circle and square (that the sentiment is on) out using hole punches.
 
 The Rocket ships were also hole punches; I used silver and orange glitter glue on their flames. I also feel that the robot ribbon gives the card a cute little flare. I really love how this card turned out because it's super colorful, and fun!

A Flowery Thank You

This is a pretty simple card. The only Cricut cut is the green vine wrapped around the ribbon. It was cut using the Strait from the Nest cart and I used green glitter glue.

The gold ribbon is not ribbon at all, just a strip of K & Co. paper. Each 3 dimensional flower is made of three seperate layers. They came in a Wedding craft tin from Target, I believe. To make a flower, I punched tiny holes in the center of each layer and inserted a pink gem brad.

The Thank You sentiment is a clear Cloud 9 Design sticker. I measured a piece of purple paper the same exact size as the sticker and trimmed the corners after sticking it to the purple paper.
